The Department of Electrical Engineering, BSIET, organised an industrial visit for Third Year Electrical Engineering students to MSEDCL, 33/11 KV Distribution Sub-station, Kolhapur, under the subject Power System. During the visit, students gained practical exposure to pole types, insulators, substation layout (SLD), transformers, switchgear operation, protection systems, metering arrangements, safety practices, earthing, and EV charging stations.
The department expresses sincere gratitude to Er. Ravi Kamble Sir (Section officer, MSEDCL), Er. Sangram Kale Sir (Section officer, MSEDCL), and the supporting staff for their valuable guidance. The visit was successfully conducted under the coordination of Prof. S. A. Gaikwad (HoD), Dr. A. P. Redekar (Visit Coordinator), and Prof. M. P. Koli (Subject Incharge), with the guidance of Director Mr. Viren Bhirdi and Principal Dr. Suhas Sapate.
